Privacy policy.
HomeHQ is built around a simple idea: your family\'s schedule belongs to you. We sync it through your own Google account and a secure backend, we never sell or share it, and we run no ads. This policy explains what we collect, where it lives, and the choices you have.
The short version
HomeHQ is an iPhone and iPad app. You sign in with Google, and your calendar and tasks sync two-way with your Google account. Your family setup — member names, colors, chores, meal plans — is stored in HomeHQ\'s secure backend so it stays in sync across everyone\'s devices.
We collect a small amount of information through this website (your email if you sign up for our newsletter, anonymous analytics) and through the App Store (aggregate subscription and crash data, provided by Apple). We do not sell, share, or rent any of it, and we run no ads.
What we collect
From the website: if you submit your email (to receive the App Store link or the mental-load quiz PDF), we store your email and the page you submitted it from. We use anonymous analytics (Google Analytics 4 in production) that records page views, referrers, approximate country, and device type. No personally identifying information is sent to Google Analytics.
From the App Store: Apple provides aggregate data about installs, subscriptions, and crashes. This is anonymous and aggregated — we cannot identify individual users.
From the app itself: when you sign in with Google, we access your Google Calendar and Google Tasks to sync your family\'s schedule (with your permission, which you can revoke any time in your Google account). Your family setup — member names, colors, chores, meal plans, and lists — is stored in HomeHQ\'s secure backend so every device stays in sync. We use it only to run the app for your household; we never sell it or use it for advertising.
How we use it
We use the data we collect to: send you the email you asked for (App Store link, mental-load quiz result, occasional product updates if you opted in); understand which parts of the website work and which don\'t; provide customer support if you contact us.
We do not use your data to: advertise to you, build profiles, or sell to anyone.
Third parties
We use a small number of vendors to run the business:
- Apple — for App Store distribution and in-app purchases.
- Google — for sign-in and two-way Google Calendar & Tasks sync, under Google\'s terms.
- Supabase — the secure backend that stores your family setup (members, chores, meals, lists) so devices stay in sync.
- Google Analytics 4 — for anonymous website analytics. Configured with IP anonymisation.
- Vercel — to host this website.
- Attio — to manage customer-relationship records for support and marketing emails.
Your calendar events stay in your Google account; HomeHQ reads and writes them to keep your family\'s shared view in sync.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to: ask us what data we hold about you; ask us to correct or delete it; ask us to stop processing it for marketing.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@familycommandcentre.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Data retention
Marketing email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Support conversations are kept for 3 years. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics 4 defaults (14 months). App Store subscription records are kept for as long as legally required.
Children
HomeHQ is designed for families, including children. Kids\' names, colors, and schedules are entered by parents and stored only to run the family\'s shared dashboard — never used for advertising or sold to anyone. The website is not directed at children under 13; if you are under 13, do not provide your email here.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change this policy, we will update the "last updated" date at the top and, if you have given us your email, send you a notification. Continued use of the website or the app after a change constitutes acceptance.
