Turn the lot off and the app still works, you just have to look at it.

The four groups

Daily rhythm is scheduled at a fixed time: the morning rundown of what is on today.

Right before it happens is tied to a particular event or due time, so it arrives when it is useful rather than at 7am.

Chores and celebrations covers activity on the board and the wins worth cheering, like a streak nobody wants to break.

Parents only is the grown-ups' heads-up channel, including the insights card about the week ahead.

Turning things down

Open Settings, then Notifications

Each item has its own switch. Turn off exactly what annoys you and keep the rest.

Set quiet hours

Nothing is delivered inside quiet hours. Set them to whatever counts as bedtime in your house.

Check iOS is letting them through

If HomeHQ notifications are off at the iOS level, the app tells you at the top of the screen and nothing below it can be delivered. Tap it to fix it.

Good to know

A note on how they work

Notifications are scheduled on your device rather than pushed from a server, and your choices are stored per person on that device. Switching to a new phone means setting them again.

Tapping one takes you to the thing it is about rather than dumping you on the dashboard.

Notification settings are per category, not per person. Parents get the family-wide ones and each person gets their own chore reminders.

Check the banner at the top of the Notifications screen. If iOS notifications are off for HomeHQ, nothing else matters. Then check quiet hours.

No. Everyone sets their own on their own device.

Yes, and most families do. Turn them all off in Settings on that device.
