How to scan

Photograph the page

Flat, well lit, whole page in frame. Columns, tables and even readable handwriting are fine.

Wait a few seconds

It reads the page and finds dates, times and, where the page says so, who each one belongs to.

Review before anything is added

Everything found appears as a list. Anything missing a date or time is flagged. Untick what you do not want, fill in what is vague, then add the rest.

Selected events still missing a date or time are skipped rather than guessed at.

What it is good at, and what it is not

It is good at school newsletters, sports season schedules, camp letters, party invitations and printed timetables.

It struggles with very low-contrast photos, badly angled shots, and pages where the year is never written down. If a flyer says "Tuesday the 14th" and nothing else, check which month it picked.

About the photo

The image is sent to our AI service so it can read the page properly, which is what makes columns and tables work. It is used to pull the dates out and is not kept afterwards.

If you would rather not photograph something, type the events in by hand or ask Casa.
